does dr. Gerlach treat children?

Dr. Gerlach enjoys treating children 4 years old and up.  Our goal is to give kids a positive impression of the dental office.  We take pride in making sure every child leaves our office with a smile on their face.  We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) with or without a sedative.  

Is teeth whitening safe?

Absolutely. We bet you didn't know that teeth whitening, in some form, has been around since the 1700's. Modern whitening uses safe and effective bleaching gel to melt away stains and discoloration. KoR Whitening is offered at our office which includes custom take home trays, in-office bleaching session, and maintenance kit.  

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

We follow strict guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and OSHA. Our practices include sterilizing reusable instruments in an autoclave, then sealing them for the next use; disinfecting treatment rooms between patient visits; and using disposable products when possible. We always wear disposable gloves during exams and treatment, for your safety.

I hate to admit it, but dental treatments makes me nervous!  Is there any way for me to get over my anxiety?

Whether your dental anxiety is mild or debilitating, Dr. Gerlach understands and offers solutions. In addition to a comfortable, inviting office and a compassionate team, we use nitrous oxide and oral sedation to help alleviate dental anxiety. If you want Dr. Gerlach to replace your amalgam (metal) fillings, metal crowns, or the metal clasps on your bridge, he'll use aesthetic materials to give you natural-looking results that will last for years.

We offer many options for smile enhancement, but porcelain veneers remain the most popular option next to teeth whitening. To determine the best procedures for you, Dr. Gerlach needs to talk with you about what you want your smile to look like.
